Memorable Game: Madden 2010 Franchise Season II. Seahawks vs Cardinals (Tupac) Seattle was down something like 33-3 late in the 3rd and then Rookie WR Robert Toliver had the best game that I ever seen pulling in 5 TDS to march the Seahawks to victory. After that game, I have managed to throw over 75-80 INTs. Wow.
XLSL Nemesis: In Madden, it's Tupac4Congress, we always have good games. In MLB2K, it has to be MiddleFingaz. He is one of my Box Seats homies plus he is a Red Sox lover and I see the Red Sox as a rash that the Yankees can’t get rid of.

Living up in Canada is a baseball fan’s nightmare. That is especially true if you live in Winnipeg that has Jack unless you want to count our Northern League affiliate Winnipeg Goldeyes. I am fortunate enough to have a friend that started out as an athletic trainer for the Goldeyes and who is now the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for the Philadelphia Phillies. Thanks to him I have been able to see 8 Phillies games. 2 in Toronto and 6 in Philadelphia. Oh yea...did I mention going to games 3 and 4 the last 2 world series? Never thought that would ever happen to me.
Quote from TST: "I have to say that I am getting up there in age and online game play usually sucks due to the cheeseball mofos out there but playing the group of guys at XLSL makes online game play worth the price of admission. The gang at XLSL are some top notch guys who are always there eager to play a good game and to give advice to crappy players such as myself when needed. Though it is always after I lose to them but it is advice none the less.
You all rock!

Week 6 NFC Game Previews
vs.
San Francisco 49'ers (3-2) vs. Detroit (4-1)
Both of these teams have had great starts to the season. This is a huge game, as both of these teams look playoff bound.
Coach Upstate NY Will has his 49er team looking like a force in the NFC. The 49ers are lead by their spectacular running back Frank Gore and their young, promising rookie quarterback, Colin Kaepernick. Since San Francisco has switched quarterbacks, they have looked like a totally different team. Kaepernick has thrown 8 touchdowns and 0 interceptions since taking over, and has lead the 49ers to a 2-0 record as a starter. The reason I believe the Niners are a contender this season is their defense They have not given up more than 24 points to any team this season, and they have held two of their opponents to under 10 points. Now that the 49ers have a quarterback to go along with their defense, I see them being a force to be reckoned with this season.
The Lions were able to pick up a huge 42-39 win last week over their division rival, the Chicago Bears. The Lions defense, which had been solid all season, was picked apart by Jay Cutler to the tune of 550 yards passing and 3 touchdowns. Although their performance wasn’t pretty by an means, the Lions came out of it with a win. However, in this game, I worry about the Lions ability to stop Colin Kaepernick and Vernon Davis. The Bears seemed to have figured out the Lion defense, but we will have to see if last week’s bad performance by the Lions defense was just a fluke. If the Lions want t to win this game, they have to stop San Francisco’s weapons on offense, and they must find a way to get the ball to their own weapons; especially Jahvid Best and Calvin Johnson.
This game should be great, as both teams look to be among the elite squads in the league. I see San Francisco taking this game, 35-21. I just think that the Lions will have a tough time stopping Colin Kaepernick.
nGurevitz's pick: 49'ers
vs.
St. Louis Rams (2-2) vs. Green Bay Packers (4-1)
St. Louis is coming off of a tough loss in their last game, while Green Bay is coming off of a great win. Will St. Louis get back on track? Or will Green Bay continue their dominance?
St. Louis lost a tough game to the Redskins in week 4. The defense deserves most of the blame for that game, as the Skins were able to

vs.
Washington Redskins VS. Saint Louis Rams
This week, two of the most surprising teams in the league will face off in what should be the game of the week. No one expected the Redskins or the Rams to be on top of their respective divisions at this point in the season. Both are proving their doubters wrong. For the Washington Redskins, the name of the game is consistency. This team knows it has to avoid turnovers and mistakes on defense if it wants to win games. In two of the three games, the Skins have done that, and have subsequently won easily. At the beginning of the season, one of the big question marks for this Washington team was their personnel at the running back position. After the emergence of Roy Helu that last two weeks, those questions seem to have been answered. Helu has racked up 274 yards the last two weeks, while averaging 7 yards per carry. If the Skins want to win this week, they will have to continue to run the ball well against a solid St. Louis team. No one believed in the St. Louis Rams at the beginning of the season. They were voted least likely to win the NFC West, in a poll in which almost everyone voted for San Francisco. Coach Draeday warned the doubters, saying, ?It aint gonna be that easy, I will guarentee that!!!!? So far this season, the Coach has backed up his words. On offense, the Rams are lead by the promising second year QB, Sam Bradford, and the potent rushing duo of Steven Jackson and Jerious Norwood. St. Louis has rushed for 376 yards so far this season, however, they will have a tough time running against the stout Redskins run defense, who last week held the Dallas Cowboys to a measly 25 yards on the ground. If St. Louis wants to win, they will have to control the clock on offense, and they cannot commit turnovers. This game will be interesting, but I see the Redskins pulling this one out. I think the Redskins defense will be able to shut down the Rams offense, and that will be the difference in this game. I say 21-14 Redskins.
vs.
San Francisco VS. Philadelphia
As surprising as Washington and St. Louis have been this season, I think most people are flabbergasted by the starts of both the 49ers and the Eagles this season. Both teams were picked to win their divisions, and both teams have so far not lived up to those expectations. Each of these teams needs a win in order to keep their playoff hopes alive. San Francisco started the season off strong, defeating Seattle 34-7. However, since then, the Niners have not been sharp. They have consecutive losses to the Cowboys and Bengals. Although these are two pretty good teams, most people had lofty expectations for this Niners squad, and most thought that San Francisco would be able to...

vs.
Denver Broncos (2-0) vs. Tennessee Titans (1-1)
Denver and Tennessee are coming off wins which will make this game even more exciting as both teams have momentum heading into Sunday. Conference games have a little more importance than non conference game so this game won’t be taken lightly as every game matters. Denver is in great position at 2-0 heading into Tennessee. Coach Dave had a great offensive game, scoring 41 points against the Ravens. Will Tennessee be able to have another great offensive performance against the stingy defense of Denver?
Is Tebow really putting up these types of numbers through two weeks? Tim Tebow is ...

Week 1 NFC Game Previews
vs.
New Orleans Saints (0-0) vs. Green Bay Packers (0-0)
After a long lockout, NFL football is finally back! In week one we will see the last two Super Bowl champions collide in what should be the game of the week in the NFC. Here’s what to look for in this pivotal conference matchup. Coach Ibaka Flocka will take over a strong Green Bay Packers squad. Since the Packers had a quiet offseason in terms of signing free agents, Green Bay is going to have to rely on the return of some of their injured players from a year ago to give them the spark they need to repeat as champions. Jermichael Finley, who missed most of last season with a knee injury, could be the spark the Packers are looking for. The 6’5 250 lbs tight end has golden hands, great speed and insane leaping ability, and he should give defenses fits all season. Another thing to pay attention to is how the defense fairs against the prolific Saints passing attack. Perennial Pro Bowler Charles Woodson is 35 years old, and some are questioning how much longer the veteran can keep up his outstanding play. The Pack also lost DE Cullen Jenkins, who has been great run stopper for the last few seasons. His replacement, Mike Neal, is young and inexperienced, which may lead to Green Bay’s defense taking a step back this season. After a disappointing playoff lost to Seattle a year ago, New Orleans will look to prove that they still deserve to be mentioned among the league’s elite. Coach Brewbomber will have many weapons at his disposal this season. He has two speed receivers in Robert Meachem and Devery Henderson, a big, physical receiver in Marquis Colston, and a couple of great running backs in Darren Sproles and Mark Ingram. Look for Coach Brew to spread the ball around to all these players. The Saints defense is also looking strong this season. Their defensive line is one of the best in the league, and their secondary includes a number of playmakers. As with Green Bay, the play of the Saints defense will decide how far this team advances this season. In the end, I see this game as a high-scoring affair. I believe the difference in this game will be Jermichael Finley. The Saints will have no answer for his size and speed, and I see him putting up over 100 yards receiving for the Pack. The game will be close, but I see Green Bay coming up with the 45-38 win.
nGurevitz's: Green Bay
vs.
Atlanta Falcons (0-0) vs. Chicago Bears (0-0)
In what should be an old-fashioned slugfest, the Atlanta Falcons will travel to Chicago to take on the Bears. Both teams will look to build on their successful seasons from a year ago. The Falcons are lead by their star quarterback Matt Ryan and their Coach, ModernExpert. This season, the Falcons will look to pound the rock with Michael “The Burner” Turner and their stellar offensive line. This should open things up for Matty Ice and his two playmaking receivers: Roddy White and Julio Jones. Another component of the Atlanta offense that is often overlooked is their elite tight end Tony Gonzalez. Gonzalez is deadly around the middle of the field, and demands that opposing defenses commit multiple players to stop him. The Falcons defense will be lead by their stud pass rusher John Abraham, and their middle linebacker Curtis Lofton. Newcomer defensive end Ray Edwards will look to make a huge impact this season as well. He comes to Atlanta after establishing himself as an elite pass rusher with the Minnesota Vikings. With a great offense and solid defense, Atlanta has to be considered as a Super Bowl favorite this season. Quarterback Jay Cutler will try and win the fans of Chicago back after his debacle at the end of last season. Everyone has been questioning his toughness during the offseason, so Cutler must be inspired to prove his doubters wrong. Helping Cutler will be running back Matt Forte. Forte is one of the best running backs in the league. He can run, block, and catch passes out of the backfield. He is the focal point of the Bears offense, so the Atlanta defense better know where he is at all times. Another key contributor for Chicago is Devin Hester. This burner can take it to the house at any moment, so opposing defenses must always be prepared for this playmaker. On defense, Chicago will rely on their two star linebackers, Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher, to stop the run. In terms of stopping the pass, Chicago relies heavily on one man: Julius Peppers. This player is a...
